A single 20mg pill of the drug, called Dimebon, taken three times a day, appears to be twice as effective in improving cognitive performance and preventing deterioration in memory as existing drugs.
Dimebon was used as an antihistamine in Russia 20 years ago, but it was withdrawn from the market when newer drugs superseded it.
In 2007 the manufacture of Dilantin changed the description of the 100 mg. Dilantin changed the 100 mg white capsule with red stripe to a much larger white capsule, orange on one end, which contains 100 mg of the drug, plus aspartame. 150 people who took the new Dilantin capsule found the seizure rate increased in every case. Eating as little as three small servings of raw cruciferous vegetables per month, such as broccoli and cabbage, has been found to decrease the risk of developing bladder cancer by an astonishing 40 percent. This was discovered by researchers from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. The study is only one of several that have recently added to the evidence that raw fruits and vegetables dramatically lower cancer risk.
So bad is the situation that der medical industry will not allow patients to try something else, even when doctors admit to the family that they can do nothing more; that the only thing they can do is keep the patient comfortable. What could be the harm whatever a family does for someone who is terminal? The danger is that if it isn’t “approved,” by “consensus,” etc., it could work. If it works, the “traditional” therapy could be in trouble, which could break the monopoly and endanger the take.
This agency derives its jurisdiction from treaties and has been getting away with destroying people's health for decades, and in too many cases, the result is death. The FDA is nothing more than another out of control agency answerable to no one.
Researchers determined people who ate soy at least twice a day had 20 percent less memory function that those who ate it significantly less.

The US government's longstanding denial of medical marijuana research and use is an irrational and morally bankrupt public policy. On this point, few Americans disagree. As for the question of "why" federal officials maintain this inflexible and inhumane policy, well that's another story
One of the more popular theories seeking to explain the Feds' seemingly inexplicable ban on medical pot goes like this: Neither the US government nor the pharmaceutical industry will allow for the use of medical marijuana because they can't patent it or profit from it.
