TVNL Editor's Comments: Stay Scared...But Not at the Real Dangers!

Last night New York's ancient infrastructure hiccuped...actually it had a violent fit. Thanks to the unusually intense rain fall a steam pipe built before most of you were alive cracked, resulting in a huge explosion in mid town. Of course the news networks have to make sure that even though this was in no way shape of form related to terrorism, your fear of terrorism is kept in the forefront of all your fears!

Let's be real here, terrorism, even the kind perpetrated on us by people within our own government, like 9/11, is so far down the list of threats to Americans that is is hardly worth discussing. More people die each year by slipping the their bathtubs in this country than die of terrorism. When it comes to threats to Americans terrorism does not even make the long list when you examine the things that harm us each day.

The midtown excitement yesterday should have been a reminder of how dangerous our weather systems have become, partly due to the activities, unnecessary activities of human beings. But did CNN and their establishment partners mention this? No. They did however make sure that some “expert” came on to tell us that a terrorist can target the aging infrastructure of our big cities and harm a great deal of Americans.

Maybe CNN, if it were a real news network, would report about the terrorists who are harming us every day by targeting our infrastructure. You know...like big industry and the defense industry. Maybe they could have warned us that rocket fuel is now found in virtually all milk samples taken in this nation. This rocket fuel was not put in our food supply by brown men from caves in Afghanistan...it was placed there by American companies with the approval and silent cooperation by the FDA and Congress.

So next time you see a big steam pipe explode in New York, think milk...not terror! It would be a more logical connection! Think about it! Jesse Richard – Editor, TvNewsLIES.org
