Political views 'all in the mind'

Scientists studying voters in the US say our political views may be an integral part of our physical makeup.

Their research, published in the journal Science, indicates that people who are sensitive to fear or threat are likely to support a right wing agenda. Those who perceived less danger in a series of images and sounds were more inclined to support liberal policies.

Why Scientists Succumb To Political Correctness

"Throughout the world, scientists are prominently involved in seeking solutions to the major global problems such as global climate change and the growing inadequacy of energy supplies," Dr. Bartlett said. "They present their writings in publications ranging from newspapers to scientific journals, but with a few rare exceptions, on one point they all replace objectivity with "political correctness."

"In their writings the scientists identify the cause of the problems as being growing populations. But their recommendations for solving the problems caused by population growth almost never include the recommendation that we advocate stabilizing our population. Political Correctness dictates that we do not address the current problem of overpopulation in the U.S. and the world.

Scientists get images of planet with sun-like star

Scientists have snapped the first images of a planet outside our solar system that is orbiting a star very much like the sun.

In findings announced on Monday, University of Toronto scientists said they used the Gemini North telescope on Mauna Kea in Hawaii to take direct pictures of the planet, which is about the size of Jupiter but with eight times the mass.

Scientists receive death threats over 'end-of-world' experiment

The scientists behind the world's biggest ever scientific experiment have received death threats from critics who claim it could cause the end of the world.

Experts are attempting to recreate the forces that occurred in the immediate aftermath of the Big Bang, which created the universe.

TVNL Comment: When "scientists" exploded the first hydrogen bomb there were fears that the explosion, which essentially exploded the atmosphere, would not be contained. They could have ended life on Earth that day. When people think we live in a democracy I ask them if they voted to permit that to happen? We have no say on what happens to "our" world. Understand that. A small number of people run this world and we have no say about it.

Moon-walker claims alien contact cover-up

FORMER NASA astronaut and moon-walker Dr Edgar Mitchell - a veteran of the Apollo 14 mission - has stunningly claimed aliens exist. And he says extra-terrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions - but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades.

Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as 'little people who look strange to us.'

Genetically Modified Organisms – A Dangerous Experiment

The problems with Genetically Modified (GM) foods are as many as they are varied. Respected scientists have risked everything to step forward and warn consumers that this new fast-track "solution to world hunger" is bad for their health and the environment, but to little avail. Giant agri-business companies such as Monsanto forge ahead to flood the world's food chain with experimental technologies that are proving to be harmful to life. The worst part is, the longer this reckless experiment is allowed to go on, the closer we get to a complete planetary takeover by Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO).

The truth really is out there as Britain's 'X-files' released

Her Majesty's Government may have concluded in 1979 that "it has never been approached by people from outer space" but the current Pope is entertaining the idea of aliens.

That was the bizarre clash of opinions that emerged this morning as thousands of pages of "Britain's X-files" were released by the Ministry of Defence in a move brought about by a "deluge" of Freedom of Information requests by UFO conspiracy theorists.
