sarah schulmanA pro-Israeli group has targeted a CUNY professor it said has engaged in anti-Semitism.

The Zionist Organization of America, in a letter to state Sen. Jack Martins, ripped Sarah Schulman, who holds the title of distinguished professor of English at the College of Staten Island.

Schulman also serves as the faculty adviser to Students for Justice in Palestine, which has been accused of instigating anti-Jewish harassment and intimidation on different CUNY campuses.

The letter to Martins cites an Oct. 11, 2014, tweet by Schulman that Zionist Organization of America President Morton Klein said underscores a hatred of Jews.

“I question the idea of exceptionalisms,” Schulman tweeted. “The murder of 2,000 Gazans also reflects Jewish values.”

The letter also refers to a quote in a recent story in The Forward, in which Schulman defends a demonstrator telling a Jewish student, “I don’t hug murderers.”

“So what if a girl says that?” Schulman told The Forward.

“Palestinians are murdered in large numbers . . . That’s not anti-Semitic to say that people who killed people murdered them.”

TVNL Comment:  Any criticism of Israel, no matter how factual, is attacked as being anti-Semitic.  This is how the ZOA suppresses free speech.
